The 14th edition of the Canagua & Energía Fair, held on November 27, 28, and 29, 2024, in Gran Canaria, was a remarkable opportunity to showcase the MARINERG-i project. Project partner, PLOCAN, attended the event to promote this innovative European initiative and highlight its contributions to advancing offshore renewable energy research and development.
The fair served as an ideal platform to present MARINERG-i’s objectives and mission, emphasizing its role in fostering cross-border collaboration and technological innovation in Europe.
At the PLOCAN stand, we conducted an intensive dissemination campaign to raise stakeholders and awareness about the project among key stakeholders.
We emphasized its mission to drive the development and implementation of marine renewable energy technologies, as well as its focus on creating synergies among stakeholders across Europe.

MARINERG-i Project: Shaping the Future of Offshore Renewable Energy Testing in Europe
MARINERG-i aims to create an integrated European Distribute Research Infrastructure (DRI) in Europe, for delivering Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) technologies to the market. It will be a long-term, sustainable partnership between the highest quality testing facilitates, providing a coordinated set of services that meet current and future end-user requirements.

MARINERG-i presented at ICOE on 14th June 2018 and briefed Minister Denis Naughten (Irish Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment) on the project.
MARINERG-i partners met in Brest, France 7-8 June 2018 to consolidate work to date and draft the design and science plan for the distributed Research Infrastructure.
